The artist was brimming with happiness as she chatted with Chastain. The iconic character Wonder Woman was created in 1941 by American psychologist William Moulton Marston and artist Harry G. Perry for comic book pages. Director Jenkins is thrilled to introduce Wonder Woman to a new audience and has expressed interest in involving the original TV star, Lynda Carter, in the sequel. Carter played the role from 1975 to 1979 and is a close friend and mentor to the “Wonder Woman” family. Though she couldn’t appear in the first film due to scheduling conflicts, Jenkins is still hopeful of bringing Carter on board.
