Recently, Shakira, the renowned Colombian musician and philanthropist, made her way to Qatar to attend the WISE Summit 2019 as a guest of the Education Above All Foundation. During her visit to Education City, she gained insights into Qatar Foundation’s endeavors in education, science, research, and community development. Shakira is known for her humanitarian work and advocacy for universal education and early childhood development. She has founded several organizations, including the Barefoot Foundation, which aims to make education accessible to every child. Additionally, the Pies Descalzos Foundation focuses on improving children’s education, nutrition, and health, while the ALAS Foundation supports the implementation of integrated early childhood public policies. In her role as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, she continues to inspire and promote her social causes.
