Miley Cyrus had a memorable night at the Grammys, taking home her first two Grammy awards ever. The “Flowers” singer, 31, who was nominated for six awards, finally got her hands on the coveted trophy after a long and successful career in music and acting. Cyrus kicked off the evening in style on the red carpet, turning heads in a stunning gold metal mesh dress with safety pin accents and matching metal panties. Her custom Maison Margiela naked dress showed off her tattoos while keeping everything perfectly covered, making a bold fashion statement for the star.
Cyrus’ stylist, Bradley Kenneth, took to Instagram on Monday to share details about her stunning red carpet look. The intricate dress, designed by Maison Margiela’s creative director John Galliano, required 675 hours of craftsmanship. It featured a meticulous arrangement of 14,000 safety pins embellished with French antique beads.
After winning her first Grammy Award, Cyrus wowed in yet another eye-catching outfit as she accepted her award on stage. This time, she rocked a beaded and embroidered halterneck jumpsuit by Tom Ford. Continuing to showcase different outfits, she later stepped onto the stage to deliver a performance of her Grammy-award winning track. Cyrus donned a silver fringe minidress reminiscent of Tina Turner’s style, perfectly complementing her ’70s-inspired hair. As an added touch, she incorporated a backing track from Turner’s hit song “Proud Mary.”
Hairstylist Bob Recine, who has been collaborating with Miley for quite some time, utilized Nexxus products to craft a new look for her. They aimed for a ’70s Barbarella vibe mixed with a modern punk twist. By incorporating a voluminous hairdo with a hint of teasing left visible, they managed to achieve a fresh and sexy style according to Recine.
After her stunning performance, Cyrus didn’t revert to her old style. She opted for a new look, rocking a lace bustier and pants adorned with fringe, topped with a feathery jacket. She completed her outfit with stylish black heels and dangling earrings that perfectly matched the fringe on her attire.
Before accepting the award for record of the year for her song “Flowers,” Cyrus made a quick outfit change that turned out to be her most daring look of the night. She stunned in a one-shoulder, chocolate brown sequin dress custom-made by Gucci, complete with a thigh-high slit. Leaving the stage, she even joked about possibly forgetting to wear underwear!
However, Cyrus took to Instagram the next day to set the record straight. She revealed that she was, in fact, wearing matching Gucci panties under her dress. She thanked Gucci for the custom outfit from head to toe.
Thanks to the success of “Flowers” and her eighth studio album, Cyrus was one of the most-nominated artists at the 2024 Grammy Awards, receiving a total of six nominations. Her nominations included categories like pop vocal performance, record of the year, song of the year, album of the year, and best pop vocal album.
